The manufacturers of packaging machinery in EUROPAMA's member countries France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom represent the heart of the packaging machinery industry in Europe. More than 1.200 companies with 69.160 employees are represented by EUROPAMA, including al the leading suppliers of machinery for processing and packaging of food, pharmaceuticals, beverages, cosmetics, chemicals and many other products.
The size of the world market for packaging machinery was 20,1 billion Euro in 2005. The turnover of the packaging machinery manufacturers within EUROPAMA was in 2005 11,3 billion Euro, this is about 56 % of the world production. Exports account for a significant amount of this turnover with 8,5 billion Euro. This is more than 70% of the world export of 11,6 billion Euro.
